Your Vote Was Sinister... To Ssy the Least

The criminal in the white house... our White House. You know We the People? If you hadn't noticed we're getting the shaft by the criminal in our White House. He's now hit a records long domestic deployment of military presence in a city in our country, and it ain't right.

There's no reason to waste such resources in our nation's Capitol. Yet, congress and our other branches of power are allowing this.

I remember my father-in-law and I having a conversation about his trip to Israel decades ago. He said, "Jody, its amazing. You're in Jerusalem and there are military personnel some armed with machine guns, seemingly everywhere. Its great that we don't live like that here." He a World War II veteran stated such.

I can only imagine what Herbie would think now. My husband had said, "You always had great talks with my dad." Yeah, Herbie and I had some indepth discussions. There was much to learn from him too.

Herbie/Dad would have a line or two to say after he and Mom would watch the news or a weekly news magazine show. Every Friday night it was Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser. They'd get three newspapers delivered to their home nearly daily. And they would be read as well. Ahhh yes, reading the news from various views, a lost art to most now in this country. So lost, even the elites don't seem to do it. I'm the middle-class slow plugger reading so many news outlets,  even ones I may not care for. Then I listen to well-educated people freak out or some laughing thinking they've got one up on everyone because they'd gotten a rapist and business person like themselves placed into the highest office in the country. Not once, but twice. Its sinister to say the least. Its the art of the deal you know. Take the money and run. Fuck the rest. Or the guy with the most toys wins, even if it means scorching the earth, they've won. I will say this, when we die, we don't need pockets. Most of us need a clear conscience. I do know this, never mind my being human.

It's that I'd had about 4,000 clients when i had my own business. Some lay in a hospital bed, some in my office,  some in their office, some in there homes, some at ground zero. You know sacred places with noone around but me and them. I listen to people. Sometimes my listening has occurred in hotel lobbies in another city, state or country. I listen. I ask questions. I listen.

My husband told me he wondered how I got guys to talk. "How do you get these people to open up to you?" He'd asked nearly two decades ago. Twelve years later he figured it out. It was a sunny, Sunday morning, days after my dad finally died. It was 2018. Norman said, "You know what I liked about you?" I queried, "What?" He replied, "Our first real date, you asked me about myself as we were eating pizza. The women I'd dated hadn't ever done that. It was usually about themselves. You listened." I was stunned, but then I said, "Well com'on. If I'm interested and spending the little amount of time I have on a date, of course I want to know who sits in front of me." He responded,  "Yeah. But it wasn't something I'd encountered."

So, you can rush into things, which Norman and I witnessed and saw a couple friends get divorced or you can be interested. Be involved in life when making life altering decisions. Stay and remain well read. You can study a human being's record and response, actions, before making important decisions that will effect not just yourselves but others as well.
Or you can stick your head in the sand just so long. Don't tell me that you're traumatized by the news or could care less about politics, when you can read and have knowledge of who the guy you put in the White House was. Even if you put him in once, Shame On You!---Jody-Lynn Reicher

2023 Holiday Letter from the Reicher's

Well, I didn't think I'd be doing a Holiday Letter this year, but here goes... The Spirit of Norm is in the air. As the wind whips with minus a true snowstorm.  In hopes the Farmers Almanac was correct, I pray to the snow gods. Rain ensued the month of December thus far. We have nearly tripled the amount of rainfall usual for December in New Jersey. And I've witnessed its treachery. Storms such as these hit us hardest in July. Then remained fairly intense through til about early October.  Our daughters are doing well, Thank God.  Their Dad would be proud of them. Our oldest Sarah, now a Junior at UCLA pursuing her degree in Chemical Engineering. She's digging the whole California scene. Which I thought it was for her. She's had some good traveling on her off times from school. For her March 2023 week off, she drove her and a few friends out to Lake Tahoe and went downhill skiing for a first in nearly 5 years. She had to rent the ski equipment.  Funny enough when ...

"It’s the Hardest Thing..."

My friend since 1996, neighbor and pet care person texted back, "It's the hardest thing...". She texted back the morning just hours prior to my decision to have our last pet euthanized. It's not something I'd ever done. Although I've been told I have a killer instinct. Which I've discovered over the past 20 years that would be true. A promoter said that to my fight coach after my first cage fight. The promoter saw the charged smile on my face after I'd just lost to a decision. I am disciplined, so thank God for that. My feeling is we all have that, but not the amount I've discovered I have, and most certainly most do not have the obsessive level of discipline I have had or have. Fast forward to yesterday afternoon holding our bunny for quite sometime before her sedation in a veterinary treatment room.  About 20 minutes later the vet and vet tech arrived finding a spot to inject a sedative into our pet bunny. They said it would take ten minutes, th...
