SignalGate

To bring people to reality on “Signal Gate”. A handful of years ago when the FBI discovered classified documents Trump had moved to his home in Florida. I had a conversation with one of my former military superiors. She said, “Some of those documents aren’t even supposed to leave an office, let alone a building or shipped to another state…”

Now with Signal Gate having occurred and also finding out that Hegseth’s spouse was in on the meeting let me shed some light on the seriousness of this recent SNAFU of the Hegseth’s, Waltz and the 47th POTUS behavior. When I worked in defense contracting, I had a Secret Clearance. My boss had a Secret Clearance, yet at times had much more higher clearance than that issued to him. His boss had a Top-Secret Clearance and at times Confidential to Black project type clearances. And his boss had a Confidential and access to Black project type information as well.

I was married at the time when I was hired. I was screened, drug and alcohol tested as well. I had a military background, and it was not so difficult to find information on me because of that. Before I’d enter a cubicle or office I’d ask if it was ‘okay to enter’. I didn’t talk about my job. My husband knew that I was in the financial budgets and planning department.

One day, my bosses’ bosses’ boss who had full Confidential Clearance invited me to look at a sensitive piece of information. It was written by my boss and no one could read it, so they thought. I heard the two bosses laughing, then they called me into the one office. My boss and another top boss asked me, “Hey Jody, I can’t read this. Can you?”  As I stood about eight feet from the piece of paper on the desk, I asked, “That piece of paper on his desk?” The boss with Confidential Clearance stated smirking, “Yes.” So, I read it to them out loud. “Jody, you weren’t supposed to be able to read that. It was upside down and we couldn’t even read it right side up.” I shrugged, “Well, I can read it.”

About a year later, our small department was moved to the other side of the third floor. My boss asked me to do research for an audit that we wanted to see certain items before the government agencies would be auditing us. We worked with NATO friendly countries yet still had to answer to the US government for funds we’d spent in building projects for certain missile defenses.

With paper items listed for me to audit in hand, one of the items I had to go to another department worker for. As I approached the cubicle where normally two personnel would have their desks. I noticed one was completely cleared off as if no one worked there anymore. So, I inquired where the person was that I needed to retrieve some information from. The other man remarked, “He’s not here.” He seemed grumpy, which for him was his normal essence. So, I asked, “Could you help me then?” He told me he was busy.  I quickly went back to my boss and stated such. He said, “Saturday -------- was arrested by two MPs. Evidently, he was selling material.” I nodded and agreed that if that were case, he should be arrested.

Here we are now, with new government leadership and personnel who have little disregard for the sacrosanct essence of our national security. Because why? Our laws towards them and our leaders in office are not strong enough. They aren’t enforced in their direction. Many fear retaliation of some sort. Many in the media have changed their rhetoric to play nice with bullies. That is not how you treat a bully. Bullies don’t go away, until you lock them up. I know this all too well from not only past childhood experiences. Yet also, from being a victim of a violent crime. One that a white man did what he did to me, because he thought he could get away with it, as he had on at least seven other criminal acts and arrests in his past gotten away without being imprisoned and him having three felonies reduced to misdemeanors. We have these same type of bullies in our leadership and national security and defense leadership positions now. They need to be investigated, and at the very least removed from our government processes and offices. Imprisonment may even be considered. As we know one is a rapist and a felon.---Jody-Lynn Reicher

2023 Holiday Letter from the Reicher's

Well, I didn't think I'd be doing a Holiday Letter this year, but here goes... The Spirit of Norm is in the air. As the wind whips with minus a true snowstorm.  In hopes the Farmers Almanac was correct, I pray to the snow gods. Rain ensued the month of December thus far. We have nearly tripled the amount of rainfall usual for December in New Jersey. And I've witnessed its treachery. Storms such as these hit us hardest in July. Then remained fairly intense through til about early October.  Our daughters are doing well, Thank God.  Their Dad would be proud of them. Our oldest Sarah, now a Junior at UCLA pursuing her degree in Chemical Engineering. She's digging the whole California scene. Which I thought it was for her. She's had some good traveling on her off times from school. For her March 2023 week off, she drove her and a few friends out to Lake Tahoe and went downhill skiing for a first in nearly 5 years. She had to rent the ski equipment.  Funny enough when ...

She's Not Exactly Betty White

She? Yes, she is not exactly Betty White. Nibbles is cute and funny, though. She's one of our two bunnies now nearing 100 years old. She at times appears to need a wheeled walker absolutely, with tennis balls. But instead, I've now spotted her, little rugs covering our living room to dining room floors. Not too many of them, for she would think she was close to a litter box and then there'd be a big mess.  Right now, I'm working mostly remotely. This allows for me to check on her four times a day. Too, I've made my office temporarily in our dining room.  And thank God for all that. Because I have to make certain her right leg that can no longer function as part of her hopping mechanics to get around, does not get hung up on the side of the litter box. I have to clean her hay excursions, she cannot always control her hay poops, never mind her bladder. That's where my excessive laundry loads have headed. No big deal. I barely use the dryer. I have a drying rack a...

Bunnies, Much Ado About Everything

At my new job this week, back at my old career as a LMT. I told the manager as the evening rolled in that my husband's bunny, Aspen had suddenly stroked out and passed just the morning prior. She had a couple of bunnies in the past. I remarked, "It's so weird now. The older bunny of the two free-range bunnies was expected to pass first, primarily because she was partially paralyzed for the past four months and had been on a bunny form of Meloxicam since mid-May 2024 daily." She, Nibbles had been getting more arthritic since November 2023, yet didn't seem to struggle until May 1st 2024. Her hopping and running around ceased about August 2024. Her ability to leap was November 2024. However, by July 2021 our youngest daughter started calling her, "The Confused Bunny." As it appeared that she was forgetting where she was. I thought that to be a possibility, because so many things had changed and were happening in our family. My husband became terminal sud...
