"...I'm
back. We have sunshine today. We are supposed to see temps in the
mid-thirties which would be wonderful. Yesterday, I took my car to
the dealer to be serviced. I ran while the car was being worked
on... about fifteen miles. Today, I'll run an easy five, because
tomorrow I want to run long again.
Last Sunday I ran approximately
twenty miles in a snowstorm. Vince wanted to go to a model train
show at Ypsilanti (near Ann Arbor) High School. I went with him, ran
over to the Eastern Michigan University Campus and ran on plowed
bicycle paths. A cart similar to a golf cart was out plowing the
paths, so I followed from a distance. It was twenty-six degrees and
windy. I have enjoyed a good week of running. On Wednesdays I join
the Brighton running club and run with the "boys" as I call
them.
This past Wednesday I ran well. I haven't attempted speed in
my running because of the snow and ice. I lack discipline in regard
to speed work. I use racing to sharpen my speed. I love to run and
always run for the enjoyment.
